Welcome to the Hmong language program in the Department of Asian Languages and Literatures - College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota. We are proud to be one of the very few Hmong language programs found world-wide and we many levels of Hmong language classes to meet the needs of our learners.

The University of Minnesota is located in the heart of the Twin Cites’ Hmong community and we have a great relationship with them. Our staff also has connections with Hmong communities located in other countries, such as Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, and China, and we are currently working to establish study abroad opportunities to these countries.
